If you are a Journeyman Wireman and you are trying to get on our books to go to work through our hall, please follow these steps:

BOOK 1 JOURNEYMEN (LOCAL MEMBERS):

1. You must do your initial signing of the book in person. After you sign the book, you will be put on our out of work list via the UnionWorx app.

2.  Download the UnionWorx App on your SmartPhone. You can also access UnionWorx on your laptop/computer using the following link: https://ibew342.unionworx.cloud/.

3. Scroll down and find "Local 342," tap/click, and, on the bottom left corner, click "register."

4. Input your information, including your personal contact information and your Card/Ticket #, and submit.

5. Job calls are posted at 3pm ON UNION WORX when they become available. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE PLACING A BID.

6. Place a bid using the UnionWorx App or online. You will be notified via email at 7am the next day with further instructions.

7. Re-signing must take place between the 10th-16th of each month and can be done through the UnionWorx app.

BOOK 2 JOURNEYMEN (TRAVELERS):

1. Download the UnionWorx App on your SmartPhone. You can also access UnionWorx on your laptop/computer using the following link: https://ibew342.unionworx.cloud/.

2. Scroll down and find "Local 342," tap/click, and, on the bottom left corner, click "register."

3. Input your information, including your personal contact information and your Card/Ticket #, and submit.

4. Reach out to your Local Union hall and ask for them to fax us a travel letter/letter of introduction OR you can travel to Local 342's hall and sign Book 2 in person.

5. Job calls are posted at 3pm ON UNION WORX when they become available. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE PLACING A BID.

6. Place a bid using the UnionWorx App or online. You will be notified via email at 7am the next day with further instructions.

LOCAL 342 JOURNEYMEN WHO WANT TO TRAVEL:

1. Call the local you want to travel to and find out how you can get on their out of work list.

2. Some locals do dispatch all online. Call their hall and follow their steps.

3. If the local you want to work at requires a travel letter, call our hall (Local 342) and ask for a travel letter to the local who requires them. It will be sent on your behalf. Additionally, you can pick up a physical copy at the hall, located at 7874 Thorndike Road in Greensboro, NC.
